Well folks, Dhoni "The Master" has done it for Chennai Superking, both with his batting and his captaincy. When the Kings were going great, he dropped in 1 down where Raina was playing so wonderful and screwed the run rate and the total score. With Captaincy, Gony is back do I have to say more? He has no idea about bowling and bowling change.... Pandey didn't have clue against Murali but he came in at 10th over by the time the game was over....Dhoni what a Worthless Cricketer....

Nothing is comparable to Dhoni's captanicy. How the heck is he managing the Indian team is beyond me!!! - Badri to open! Really, I think Dhoni is feeling that he could be a weak link in the Chennai 11!! He doesn't want to come in at 6 down so he is doing all he could to screw Badri who is a strong candidate for 2 down. - Jakati and Tyagi were the best players in the team for the past 2 games, yet they bowled 4 overs between them? Why only Dhoni knows. - Gony selection, really? - Its amazing how in each match there are atleast 3 players who play no part in the game. Today Bailey was in the 11 and ? - I like Balaji, but if he is best death bowler in the 11, then good luck.

Last week, the web was set ablaze by a blogger who calls himself "Fake IPL Player". The blog had everything in it, Sex, Corruption, Movie Stars and of course Cricket. What else do you need to catch an Indian. I do feel that IPL is getting out of hand. Modi's greed will bury this giant. Where the heck did Preeti gets money to run a IPL franchise. I wouldn't be surprised if Dawood is running it! BCCI better get their act right, if not they will go down along with ICC.

Dhoni thinks he is good enough for 2 down, don’t know how he came up with that conclusion. Either he can open the batting or come 6 or 7th down. - Badri should be 2nd down. - Patel to open? Really, that’s the best they got? - Real icing on the cake, Dhoni asking his bowler to learn from Delhi. Yeah right, that should go well with players like Murali, and Flintoff. The match was lost due to his poor captaincy nothing else.

Chennai Super Kings lost their first match against Mumbai Indians. If they got beat by a better team, that's OK but the match was lost because of bad team selection. 1. R. Ashwin, selected as Spinner never bowled, Vidyut would have been a better bet. 2. Patel, I don't know what is Dhoni's fantasy with Patel. Vijay or Arun Kartik should have replaced Patel. 3. Thushara - Even though Thushara performed, it was a bad choice. They have so many wicket taking bowlers, Ntini, Morkel, Murali I couldn't understand the logic behind Thushara's selection. 4. Joginder - I understand that he is one of Dhoni's boys. But he is fading fast, should be replaced by Tyagi or Balaji.

Just when did winning 2 Gold equals winning 2 Bronze? If you go to any major websites, USA is at the Top of the Medals list. As of today USA have 81 and China has 79. So it should be right, but wait a minute; China has 45 Gold and USA 26 (almost double). From what I understand the standing is based on number of Gold not on the total tally? God, people in America they always want to be on top man, no matter what. Sledging – Uthappa Style Uthappa has written a column in cricinfo about sledging and how he and his teammates are not bogged down by sledging. He also mentions a conversion he had with Hayden, Hayden, "This boy has got an average of 27; let’s bring it down to 20 before he leaves Australia." I am one of those, who don’t take failure/rejection well. I know it is part of learning and part of life, but that’s who I am. My physical and mental state (don’t ask me why) is in a way, that the moment I accept failure I know for sure I will be down the drain. Given the background, for 2 weeks I underwent lots of interviews and session with one of the leading consulting firm in US for a job. Everything went well, and they were happy with my credential, and I was mentally preparing myself for a new job. All of sudden, I got a call yesterday; the lady informed me that they have a “Non Compete” clause with my current company and they will run into legal trouble if they hire me. She informed me that if I quit my job, then they can hire me after 3 months, which I don’t want to do. Anyhow,didn't expect that. Upset!!!!

After couple of decades in international cricket, Tendulkar for the first time carried India for a win. Great win though, good job.

How they got into a name like Super Kings, I really don’t understand!! May be they wanted the next best thing to Super Stars? It would have been better if the team was named “Kings”. Anyhow, I wonder what our politicians will do now. English name for Chennai team? That’s a no-no.

Twenty20 will be the official death bell for cricket as we know. It’s just a matter of time that One day and Test Matches are brought to their knees. I can see something like MLB taking place in India within the next few years. There are many factors which kicks in to support this case, some which I might add could be for the better 1. People might retire early, because they get the same kind of money with fewer cricket matches. 2. Twenty20 is easier to sell than others. 3. There are only 2 countries where cricket is both fun and makes money. Australia and India (Make be the other Asian countries, but countries by themselves are so volatile). If India starts Twenty20 where else the players are going to play? 4. In India, it will bring in discipline, and no state politics and north-south divide. 5. BCCI monopoly will be subdued. Being a guy who loves cricket, I am little bit sad to see the demise of One day and Test matches, but I guess these changes are good for the future of cricket.

Go Tamilnadu Go...... Obviously due ICL; this year is going to be without lots of big names, so I am little bit concerned about the team. But we got to live with what we got right? Lots of fringe players got their opportunity this year, hope they use it to its best. Especially Prasanna, Vasudevadas and Ashwin. Yo Mahesh, I heard he is good, but it is hard to judge a fast bowler in Indian condition. I read that Balaji should be back by the third game, so that should be good. Now, I have to address an issue which has been lingering in my mind for a long time. States like Maharashtra, Gujarat have one state team and a team for their major city. Why it is not done in Tamil Nadu I have no idea. So many good players play for teams like Assam, Goa and other team, so I think we should have Team Chennai and Team Tamilnadu. It will benefit lot of state player. Sharath, Sadagopan and Suresh are playing for Assam. Good for them, I would like to see them play for Tamilnadu but I guess thats not goi...

He was not in current Indian A Team, a very successful A Team I might add, but he is added to the Senior Side. The selectors will say that Sehwag has got a good track record against Pakistan, well he might in Test, not in One Day Internationals. Praveen Kumar addition is good. It was just a matter of time, he was performing well under India A. For me Kaif , should be the captain of the Senior Side, Dhoni is not fit to be captain, he got it because there is no one else to give the post. What a pity!!! Well that's how it goes in India right. Madras is the only place in India where we find knowledgeable cricketing crowd. I never heard of any crowd trouble there. Even when Pakistan beat the crap out of us the crowd was at its best. The other part of the country should learn a lot from Madras crowd...

I was driving to work today morning, and as always juggling with my radio station. I came across one of my preset station, "Mike & Mike in the Morning". The guys started talking about Morion Jones and her steroid use and how Baseball, cycling and other sports are struggling with this issue. Then came the fun part, the guy questions why steroid should not be legalized. The argument is most of the athletes use it, its becoming increasing difficult to stop it. So it should be legalized. It’s just amazing isn’t it? People in this country are so self centered that they forget to think that there is a world outside America. Countries like Australia, China and Russia produce great athletes who do not cheat but that does not matter. For US to be competitive the athletes need steroids, so let’s legalize it. What can I say, Good luck with it.
